Even though it still looks like winter, the Millington-Arbela Historical Society is getting ready for our spring opening.

New exhibits are in the works, featuring a display on M-15.

Did you know:

prior to 1926 M-15 was a state road in the U.P. (near present day US-41)?

in 1926, M-15 began in Clarkston and ended in Vassar?

between 1934 and 1970, the length of M-15 was changed 5 times?

apparently the last section of M-15 to be paved was from Davison to Millington and was completed in the fall of 1932?

Stop on in to find out more!

In 1873, the road was there.  Unfortunately the map doesn't have a name on it.

1902 plat map.  Now there is a name listed for the road -- State Road.  It has not yet been designated as M-15.
